Recommended Reading

Larry Gonick, Cartoon History of the United States.  Although biased in places, this remains a simple and entertaining overview of American History, good for understanding the grand vista of history.

Jerry Alan Sayers, “Disunited States: The Lost State of Franklin and Frontier State Movements at the Dawn of the American Republic.”  A brief history of the State of Franklin and its place in the politics of the Confederation period.  Buy it here!
