In preparation for a class discussion on regional geography of the USA and Canada, you will read Joel Garreau's article "The Nine Nations of North America" and prepare a 1-2 page response paper discussing their reactions to it:  whether or not you liked it, whether or not you agree with it, what you think of the regional distinctions he made within North America, and what you think of the predictions he made in 1979 when it was first published.
