Rocky Mount

Rocky Mount State Museum and Living History Historic Site is a first-person historic site depicting life in 1791 at the first capital of the Territory of the United States South of the River Ohio, later to become Tennessee, the Volunteer State. The employees and dedicated volunteers, without whom Rocky Mount could not function, portray the Cobb Family and other important people in the area. Field-Marshal J A Dusty Sayers, O.St.D. portrays Joseph Cobb, the oldest son of the oldest son of the owner of Rocky Mount, William Cobb Senior.

Rock Mount is the first capital of Tennessee, the oldest still-standing US territorial capital in the world, and the third most visited historic site in the State of Tennessee.
